What kind of merchandise do you buy?

At Luriya, we buy all sorts of valuables - such as precious metals, watches, coins, diamonds, and more! Take a look at the "What We Buy" section in the menu above.

How do appointments in NYC work?

You can schedule an appointment by calling us at 212-256-0025 or emailing us at info@luriya.com. We are open from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Our address is 30 West 47th Street, New York, NY 10036, Suite #300.

We can also make an appointment outside of business hours or provide in-house consultations depending on the circumstance - just get in touch with us to set it up!

Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?

We prefer to schedule appointments in advance to make sure all our customers are given equal time with the appraiser, but we do accept walk-ins. If you make an appointment, you won't have to worry about the appraiser assisting other customers while you wait.

When & how will I get paid?

Luriya has a variety of payment options, such as cash, check (personal or bank certified), money order, or wire transfer. We always offer a price on the spot after the appraisal.

The building we are located in has 24/7 security, and our office itself is under surveillance by a private security team. How does the mail-in kit work?

Simply fill out a form online and you will receive an email in your inbox shortly after with a prepaid FedEx label. Your items are shipped in a padded envelope for your protection, and you'll get a tracking number as well as insurance on your item. Typically, we receive your item after 1-2 business days, and we'll contact you to confirm that we've received it. Within 24 - 48 hours, you'll have an offer on the table from us for your item. If you like the offer, we send you payment however you want to be paid, and if you don't like the offer, then we send it right back at no cost to you. If you prefer, you can call us at 212-256-0025 and one of our representatives will fill out the form for you.

What are the insurance and delivery options you offer?

When using a mail-in kit to send your valuables, all items are automatically insured to up to $1000, though can insure your items up to $1 million, if necessary.

Our standard delivery method is 2nd day FedEx shipping, but we work with any delivery partner you want, such as UPS, USPS, DHL, and more.

Can I sell to Luriya from another country?

Yes, we do ship internationally, and we've worked with clients in countries around the globe. Please note that different countries have different laws and customs regulations, so we would have to coordinate to arrange it.

We advise our clients to send high quality pictures to info@luriya.com along with a detailed description of the item, along with any additional information such as certifications, past appraisals, or original boxes or receipts. This information assists the appraiser in determining whether or not it would be advisable to begin an international transaction.

How long does the appraisal process take?

The appraisal process varies, depending on how many items are brought to us. Generally speaking, it takes about 10-15 mins to complete an appraisal.

What should I bring with me to the appraisal?

We recommend that you bring a government-issued ID. Not only does our building security require it, but we will need to make a copy of your ID as is required by New York State law. If you have any accompanying documentation for your item (such as appraisals, receipts, etc.), then you should bring them along with your item. If you have any other jewelry you want us to take a look at, then bring that in as well! There's no limit on the amount of items you can bring in.

How are offers calculated?

Offers are calculated based on a number of factors - such as market price, supply and demand, the weight of the item, condition, quality, and brand.

For diamonds and precious stones, we recommend bringing a GIA or AGS certificate, as that will help the appraiser make you an offer with more information in hand.

Is your offer negotiable?

We think our offers are the fairest around, but we always work with our clients to negotiate a price that is satisfactory to both parties.

Will you have to remove the stones from my setting during an appraisal?

We almost never have to remove the stones from a setting in order to make an accurate appraisal. In the very rare event that we do have to remove a stone, we will always ask permission from the client first. We then can reset the stone expertly, all without having to take the stone out of your sight.
